In the dead of winter, sometimes you just want a fragrance that’s fresh, cheery and comforting like a warm hug. The Mary Kay Winter Wishes scent collection is just that, a “cheerful” scent that starts with a fruity, citrus top note, a light apple scent. Fades down to sweet jasmine and a base note of musk.
WINTER WISHES SHIMMERIFFIC Shower Gel and Body Lotion set – $27 CAD
These two come paired in an adorable collectible tin. It would make a great gift for someone (and I have already filled the tin with all my incoming Christmas cards).
The shower gel has a crispy scent and a slight shimmer suspended throughout. It creates a nice lather and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. The scent clings to skin slightly, and is a great base layer for the other products.

The body lotion brings out a bit more of the floral and musk but has a distinct apple scent to start. This is fairly hydating and extremely shimmery.
Shimmer is a bit larger than most of the lotions I have tried. It has a white gold look to it and definitely makes a statement. You can see this glitter from far away. I LOVE glitter, so I wear this for a night out.
WINTER WISHES EAU DE TOILETTE Rollerball – $25 CAD
The musk base note is really prevalent in the EDT. The apple wears down elegantly to reveal the slightly powdery musk. This is great layered under the shimmer lotion as it strengthens the apple scent quite a bit. Actually, I like to layer this with The Body Shop Glazed Apply body lotion for a sweet jasmine and apple medley!
